Festival Foods Opens New Grocery Store in Hugo
Thursday, June 1, 2006 Vadnais Heights, MN Representatives of Knowlan's Super Markets, Inc. announced the grand opening of their newest Festival Foods grocery store in Hugo, Minnesota. The 55,000 square foot will anchor the new Victor Marketplace development at the intersection of Highway 14 and Victor Hugo Boulevard.
The Hugo Festival Foods will be adjacent to the new Dunn Bros coffee house, complete with a drive through window and outdoor terrace. The coffee house will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner from the Festival. On the Rocks Wine & Spirits, a new liquor store will also be located next to the Hugo Festival Foods.
“We've taken our grocery stores to the next level with the Hugo location,” says Knowlan's President Lauri Youngquist. “This store will have a full service chef department, a cooking demonstration area and a large selection of natural and organic foods.” Youngquist added this Festival Foods will feature Taste of Scandinavia bakery items and cakes. Many bakery and deli items can be ordered online for pick-up at the store.
The Hugo Festival Foods will celebrate their opening June 1st with a giveaway of Festival Foods gift cards. Shoppers may enter the promotion by filling out a form in the store. Winners will receive gift cards of various denominations. The grand prize winner will be awarded a $1000 gift card in the fifth week of the promotion.
Other opening promotions will be held throughout the summer including the Pepsi Kidscasters promotion on June 3rd, where kids get a chance as sportscaster. Celebrity Chef David Lawrence from Beverly Hills be appearing in June, as well as the Little Debbie NASCAR stock car.
